👾 PixelCam

PixelCam converts your real-time camera stream into old-school lo-fi pixel art. It features toggles between localized Bayer Ordered Matrices and dynamic Floyd-Steinberg Error Diffusion formulas alongside multi-tier color quantization shades to faithfully recreate classical computing layouts. You can also record dithered video clips with adjustable length and optional microphone audio, then export any clip as a standalone animated GIF.

🔒 Data Handling & Privacy Integrity:

• Zero Servers: This application runs 100% locally on your device. Your camera feed (and microphone audio, if enabled) is processed straight inside your browser session and is never uploaded anywhere.
• Local Vault: When you snap a photo or record a clip, it is stored safely in your device's localStorage cache so it remains there if you refresh.
• Storage Limit: Storage is capped at 20 items (photos and videos combined) to prevent your browser's local sandbox memory from running out of space. Clip length is adjustable from 2 to 30 seconds — longer clips use more storage.
• GIF Export: GIFs are generated entirely on-device using a hand-rolled GIF89a/LZW encoder and download directly to your device — they are not saved into the gallery vault.
